AUSTRALIAN EXPERIENCE of SWINE FLU.
Severe attacks in OBESE, PREGNANT and the YOUNG. Extracorporeal oxygenation was required in some young adults. No N100 masks supplied in Ontario so far. No policy in place to compensate diseased or dead SELF-EMPLOYED MDs.

Death of 13y boy in Toronto shows need for finger OXYMETERS in all GP offices. Numerous Diagnostic kits for office diagnosis of influenza are available but rarely used in Ontario as they are not covered by Provincial insurance.
The boy was given TYLENOL & GRAVOL instead of TAMIFLU or RELENZA. No inquest reported. It is not known whether St.Joseph Health Centre doctors used EXTRACORPOREAL OXYGENATION.
N100 masks.
Even after the SARS fiasco in Toronto, Public Health has not supplied Health Workers with N100 masks:the Late Dr. YANGA & two Nurses were killed by the SARS virus using the cheap, virus-ineffective, N95 mask.
